About the Australian Goods & Service Tax (GST)
Starting July 2018, an amendment to Australia's A New Tax System Act will be in effect.
The amendment requires that low value imported goods and other related services imported to Australia will be subject to a 10% Goods & Service Tax (GST).
Please check the Australian Tax Office homepage for details.
The time of payment will differ depending on the content of the package
A In cases where the total price of goods is less than 1,000AUD
Please pay the 10% GST along with the total price of the goods, Buyee's service fee, and other optional fees during handling.
B In cases where the total price of goods is more than 1,000AUD
Please pay the service fee and shipping fee etc., along with 10% of the total price of the goods to Buyee during handling.
* Items that include the GST will have an additional fee from DHL and other Japanese shipping services.
Furthermore, whether or not items exceed 1,000 AUD will be decided based on our foreign exchange conversion rate.
When the GST has already been paid during shipping, if the GST is requested again at the time of arrival, please send the payment receipt to Buyee's Customer Support.
The GST only affects the import consumption tax. Import duties will not be changed.
When there is an import duty, the distribution company will apply an additional fee.
We apologize for any inconvenience these changes may cause you. Thank you for your understanding.
