本作は、ケイトブッシュの貴重音源をプレス盤としてライブラリー化するプロジェクトの一環としてリリースされる、HEATHCLIFFレーベルの第一弾になります。 本作『CATHY’S FANTASTIC WORKS』は、ケイトブッシュの貴重なスタジオ・アウトテイク＆デモを2枚組に網羅した、今までにない質量共に決定盤。デビューからさらに遡る1973年のデモ・レコーディングから1994年清涼飲料のCM曲にいたるまで、これさえあればオッケーのファンならずともマスト・アイテムとなるでしょう。 ディスク１は、1973年のデモを10曲、間をおかずリリースされたファースト・アルバム『The Kick Inside』とセカンド・アルバム『Lionheart』のセッションより6曲のアーリー・ヴァージョンなどを収録。セカンド・アルバム収録の曲も既に早い段階で完成していたことが伺えます。それ以外でも貴重なスタジオ・アウトテイクが収録されていますので、詳細は曲目をご覧ください。 ディスク2は1976年有名なデビュー前のピアノ・デモ、通称フェニックス・デモを収録。未発表曲あり、後にリリースされた曲も歌詞が異なったりと、ファンにとっては非常に興味深い内容となっています。曲名にも諸説あり謎の多い音源ではありますが、ラジオでオンエアされたという説もあり、音質も良く、また曲前後の様子も収録されています。 ケイト・ブッシュのスタジオ・セッションやデモを集めたタイトルとして、これまでにない内容と音質で楽しめる決定盤。美しいピクチャー・ディスク仕様の永久保存がっちりプレス盤です。
